Mindful Coaching is even more effective when combined with my 1-1 Mindfulness Sessions or Mindfulness Group Programs.
Coaching is a process of inquiry by which a coach works with you to discover and chart your path towards your full personal and professional potential. It is time and space to pause and reflect on what matters, on who you want to be and how you want to live. Coaching also provides the structure and accountability within which you plan and take concrete steps towards your goals and aspirations.
Coaching and mindfulness are complimentary. Both are based on the belief in our ability to grow and change. Through Mindful Coaching, you’ll learn to explore your habits and limitations, so you can learn and discover what’s possible for greater freedom and wellbeing.
Coaching and mindfulness are also synergistic. Mindfulness is training to return to the present moment, where greater agency and perspective can be found. It is from this place of choice and possibility, that one can pause, reflect and imagine a potential future in the coaching process. And as you face change, challenge or a new opportunity, it’s likely that you’ll encounter limits – the limits of your mind, the limits of your current capabilities, your comfort zone. Here, mindfulness techniques help to stabilise the mind and heart so that you can move forward one step at a time.

There has been a lot of research done on how effective Mindfulness is. You can read about the results, and the limitations of Mindfulness research here and here.
I have experienced the benefits personally and have read many of the studies about Mindfulness. With my medical background, I am satisfied that there is evidence that Mindfulness works for many people. However, it’s important to look at your unique situation, and to also have suitable guidance from a qualified teacher. It is also not a single solution in itself but part of the toolkit for your well-being, which may also include healthy habits, lifestyle changes and other forms of support.
I have also come across some mixed reports, so do bear in mind that Mindfulness research is not without its limitations. Mindfulness is not as easily and definitively researched as a medical intervention or a drug, simply because its applications are so diverse and outcomes depends on too many factors outside a strict clinical trial setting. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, but it does mean that we work with its potential, while understanding the limitations of research.
It is possible to reschedule with 6 hours notice, or to cancel with 24 hours notice.
You are welcome to record any 1-1 sessions for your own private use.
