What would it be like if we all felt well and happy first? How would we act and interact? How would that affect the way we lead and make decisions? What could we achieve?
I am deeply inspired by those who lead from a place of deep commitment, trust and well-being. These people are usually secure in themselves (ie they feel safe), and generally stable and resilient (ie well). And they enable others to feel better and work more effectively because of it.
So being well and safe is not simply a desirable side effect of success, but a requirement for sustainable effectiveness. Be well and safe first, to create the conditions for success in your life. Then we may have a better chance of creating safety and well being for our teams and organisations, to achieve the results and outcomes we desire.
Skills of well-being such as mindfulness, kindness, gratitude and mental flexibility can be learnt and developed. Make time today to invest in your own safety and well-being! Get in touch to find out more!
